Children’s Medical Research Institute and the Department of Pediatrics established the CMRI/Brann Student Scholarships in 1991, for the purpose of stimulating interest in pediatric research among first and second year medical students.
“The Brann Scholarships offer a unique opportunity for medical students early in their career to work directly with pediatrician-scientists,” said Dr. Terrence Stull, CMRI Scientific Director and Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics. “These experiences introduce medical students to both the field of pediatrics and the importance of research to improving children’s healthcare.”
